The launch of the website of Anand U is indeed a matter of pride for all of us at the University. This newsletter is a forum for sharing the news – from us to you regarding the initiatives that we are taking or programs that we are running for the month/quarter and also from you to us in terms of the application of learning that is taking pace at various locations.

Anand U has evolved over the years, from a typical training center focus (on dispensing of training on predetermined modules) to a learning center focus , where the emphasis is on applying the learning to real-life problems so that skills learnt are internalized. The role of Anand U faculty is also shifting – from that of a Trainer to an Internal consultant . This change is new for us (as much as it is for the organization) and consequently traumatic! The skill-sets needed for this are different and we are all learning this. The added responsibility is also to walk our talk!

The website idea came from the various participants of the training programs, who felt that there should be a common forum for sharing of learning experiences. This website is designed to do that by creating a space where completed projects are put-up and achievements against the various initiatives are shared.

I am sure that with the active participation of all of you in this website, we can avoid reinventing the wheel by sharing our experiences and thereby making horizontal replication a reality. This will also ensure that our journey to excellence is made smoother and faster.
