Investment in Financial Education Leads to College Access and Success
Student loans, not credit cards, are now the largest source of debt for many Americans. According to new survey by The Institute for College Access and Success, the average college student has a debt load of $24,000. That’s a heavy load for many students, as skyrocketing default rates on student loans are demonstrating.
It’s important that college students know what they’re getting themselves into when they take out large student loans – and the Department of Education is getting involved.
In July 2010, the U.S. Department of Education developed an education initiative designed to challenge states to create and implement a financial literacy program in troubled school districts. The program is designed to better prepare students to apply for Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) by awarding money to needy school districts for financial literacy education.
Improving Your Future Education and Employment Prospects
With the cuts in the current economy and everyone being told to tighten their belts by the UK government it appears there is still light at the end of the tunnel for people wanting to gain a better education and better future employment prospects. In reviews of recent research it was found that employers were impressed by both job candidates and current employees who gained qualifications through part-time study whilst being employed in some capacity.
It is widely regarded that employers like when students or employees gain valuable experience through the combination of both work and study. In some cases employers will grant funding to go towards fully paid study tuition to an existing employee. This is seen as not only a commitment by both parties, but also it is a way of sharing an employees career progression and reinforces the employees position within an established workplace, plus adds value to their skills and qualifications gained within the company.
How to Use a Classical Christian Education in Your Home
Classical Christian education was the foundation for schools in early American history. Most teachers or instructors were ministers who were educated in classical languages, Protestant theology, and literature.
The Bible was studied by students in its original Hebrew and Greek. They also read Greek classics in the original language.
Many of the most brilliant leaders and thinkers were a direct result of classical Christian education. The challenging and rigorous education forces the students to think and reason, which is why it’s a winning system.
Unfortunately, our nation’s education system has no regard for a commodity of this value. The current system operates on classless, irrational changes that makes degrees meaningless as far as showing us a person’s ability to reason and think.
Health Education Certification Vocational Schools
Health education certificates allow practitioners to design, implement and assess health care activities that can improve the health and wellbeing of their clients, and to teach others in their field of study.
To become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), one must meet the standard of competence established by The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, as well as successfully complete a CHES examination. Professional certifications indicate proficiency and competence, and health education certificates are often sought by working professionals for continued educational development.
GED Education
With 97% acceptability in US colleges, General Educational Development or GED test is the portal for non-regular students to attend the college of their choice. Aimed at students who could not complete high school, GED, through its course and tests, assesses applicants for their knowledge and issues high school equivalent diploma to deserving candidates. It is, therefore, referred to as high school equivalent. However, passing the exam requires as much effort and dedication as for passing regular high school; and therefore, GED education is a must for students who aspire to attend college.
A special focus must, therefore, be reserved for finding the right source of GED education. As it is with education, one can select several sources to prepare for the final exam.
Searching For GED Education
Comprising subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social studies, language reading and writing, GEDtests applicants on the whole package called high school education. In fact, its purpose is to make the test challenging enough so that applicants, while preparing for the test, also learn important life skills.
